Deep Questions Wheel
Preparing your wheel...
Want to have deeper conversations or reflect on life? This deep questions wheel gives you a random profound question instantly. Perfect for when you're looking to connect with someone on a deeper level, or when you want to explore your own thoughts and beliefs. It'll help you discover new perspectives and spark meaningful discussions.
How It Works
Shape the pool
In Settings, keep one theme (Love, Self, Meaning) or drop lines that feel too heavy for this room.
Spin one question
Read it aloud if others are with you. Agree passing is OK before anyone answers.
Sit then share
Journal five minutes solo, or take turns without fixing or debating each other's answer.
Why use this wheel?
Going deep usually stalls before anyone answers. Someone has to pick a question, and that person often sounds like they are interviewing the room. Everyone else defaults to safe small talk, or the same two prompts you already used last month. This wheel gives you one shared line everyone watches land. It is neutral: the spin chose it, not you testing someone. Browse questions by theme on this page, trim what is too heavy in Settings, then pick a format that fits (couple, journal, trusted friends). Use it when you want real reflection or connection, not icebreaker small talk and not shower-thought debates. Spin once, sit with the question, answer honestly or pass without apology.
The wheel asks, not you
A neutral spin picks the prompt so it is not one person grilling the other. Easier to go deep without feeling interrogated.
Trim to the night you want
Keep only Love for date night, Self for journaling, or Meaning for a philosophy hang. Random pulls from the pool you already approved.
One line, real attention
Everyone sees the same question land, which makes it harder to dodge and easier to commit than scrolling a list or saying "idk, you pick."

Formats that keep it safe
Pick a format before you spin so the question lands with clear rules, not awkward silence or pressure to overshare.
One spin, both answer in turn. Listen without fixing, debating, or "well actually" responses. Agree one re-spin max if the prompt feels too heavy for tonight.
Spin once, write for five minutes without editing. No re-spin for a softer question. If the prompt stalls you, note why and stop when the timer ends.
Start with Meaning or Love themes only. In Settings, trim death, secrets, and "never told anyone" lines until trust is built. Cap answers at one minute.
Small group, pass anytime with no explanation. No follow-up interrogation after someone shares. Facilitator keeps the same question for everyone who wants in.
Screen-share the spin so you both see the same prompt. Same question, both answer, then decide together whether to spin again or sit with what came up.

FAQs about the Deep Questions wheel
What does this deep questions wheel actually do?
It lands on one personal question everyone can see, about life, love, identity, meaning, or hard truths. You answer it (or pass). The default list has 51 prompts; edit it in Settings anytime. It is a conversation or journal starter, not a quiz with right answers.
How is this different from icebreaker or shower thought wheels?
Icebreakers aim for light get-to-know-you talk in meetings or parties. Shower thoughts drop absurd one-liners to debate, not stories about your life. This wheel asks you to share real reflection with people you trust, or write solo.
What if the spin feels too heavy?
Say the rule before you play: passing is always OK, and agree one re-spin max if you need it. Long term, delete death, secrets, or regret lines in Settings, or keep only one theme (for example Love) until the room is ready.
What is a fair way to use this with a partner or friends?
Screen-share or sit together so you see the same question. Take turns answering without fixing, debating, or coaching each other. Use the formats on this page (late-night duo, trusted circle) if you want structure upfront.
Can I spin for just couples night or solo journaling?
Yes. Open Questions by theme on this page, decide which bucket fits tonight, then remove the rest in Settings before you spin. Love and connection for date night, Self for journaling, Meaning for philosophy hangs.
Is this a therapy or mental health tool?
No. It is a random prompt picker for talks and writing. It does not diagnose or treat anything. If a question brings up serious distress, pause the game and seek support from someone qualified, not from a spin result.
